Credits and billing
The billing model in one line: 1 credit = 1 image. Everything below is the detail around that.
The model
There is no subscription. You buy a package of credits as a one-off purchase, and each successfully generated image deducts one credit from the balance. Credits do not expire, do not reset monthly, and are not tied to a plan — a balance you bought last year is still spendable today.
Because there is no recurring charge, there is nothing to cancel. If you stop using the product, nothing is billed.
When a credit is deducted
A credit is spent at delivery, not at request. If the image never reaches your library, you are not charged for it.
| Action | Cost |
|---|---|
| Generated image delivered | 1 creditMain image, detail crop, lifestyle scene or size variant — all the same. |
| Local edit with brush mask | 1 creditA masked regeneration produces a new image, so it is charged as one. |
| Re-download at another resolution | 0 creditsResolution is a download option. 1K, 2K and 4K all come from the same generation. |
| Changing file format on download | 0 creditsPNG and JPEG are exports of the same stored image. |
| Failed or timed-out generation | 0 creditsThe credit is returned to your balance automatically. |
| Safety-blocked generation | 0 creditsNothing was delivered, so nothing is charged. |
| Uploading a source photo | 0 creditsUploads and storage are free. |

Payments, invoices and tax
Checkout is handled by Polar, acting asMerchant of Record. That means Polar — not us — is the seller of record on the transaction. In practice:
- Card details are entered on Polar's checkout and never reach our servers. We store no payment instrument.
- Polar calculates, collects and remits VAT, GST and sales tax where applicable, based on your billing country.
- The invoice or receipt is issued by Polar and emailed to you at purchase. Business details and a VAT number can be entered at checkout so they appear on the invoice.
- The line item on your card statement will reference Polar.
Refunds
Because Polar is Merchant of Record, refunds are handled underPolar's refund policy rather than ours. Emailsupport@eluvana.com with your account email and the purchase date, and we will raise the request with Polar on your behalf.
Unspent credits from a recent purchase are the straightforward case. Credits already spent on images that were delivered to your library are not refundable — the service was rendered. If a generation failed, the credit was already returned automatically and there is nothing to refund.
Checking your balance
Your current balance and a per-image ledger are in the app under billing. The ledger records every deduction and every automatic return, so a balance that looks wrong can be traced to a specific generation.
What happens to credits if I delete my account
Account deletion removes your data, including unspent credits, after the grace period described in the Privacy Policy. Unspent credits are not refunded on deletion by default — if you have a meaningful balance, request a refund through support before deleting.
Questions about a charge?
